Bhopal: A 38-year-old woman along with two daughters jumped into a well and died at a village in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa district. The girls were 13 and three years old.
Pandhana police fished out their bodies from the well at Tankli village under Borgaon police post on Friday.
The woman’s family alleged that her husband Suresh Patel and in-laws used to harass her for not bearing a son. The deceased had two daughters only, said Khandwa superintendent of police Vivek Singh.
Borgaon police post in-charge Jagdish Siddha said that it seems to be a case of harassment and based on the statement of the woman’s brother, a case has bee registered.
