Live a worry-free life. Stress is a word that we hear more often these days. Stress, worry, anxiety, and depression are inter-related. This one-word stress has engulfed our lives so much that we forget to enjoy the blessings in our life. An interesting fact is that worry has no bars. It affects each and every section of society and of all age groups; children, young people, adults, and the elderly all have their own worries in life.
So why should we not worry? Bible says in Philippians 4:6-7 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” God gives us strength in tough times, and He wants us to look to Him in prayer when our circumstances start to overwhelm us.
Again in Matthew 6:34, the Bible says “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
Jesus himself says in Matthew 6:25-27 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”
Worry ruins us in many ways:
- Worry may have an ill effect on our health;
- It may decrease our productivity
- Worry may hinder us from putting our trust in God
- It may not allow us to enjoy our life
When worries surround you, go even more closer to God and cast all your burdens upon Him. Don’t let your worries spoil your relationship with God. Don’t let it spoil this beautiful gift of life. So, try to live a worry-free life.
God bless you.
