Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Tuesday said that only people belonging to Madhya Pradesh will get government jobs in the state. He said the government would make necessary legal provisions to ensure this.
Chouhan, in a video statement, has said that resources of Madhya Pradesh are meant for children of the state.
The CM urged the children of Madhya Pradesh to study hard. He said it was his dream that the locals should join state services and improve the state’s future.
Chouhan, in his Independence Day speech had said that local youth will be given preference in government jobs. He had said his government would devise a mechanism to ensure job on the basis of classes 10 and 12 marks.
In July last, the then chief minister Kamal Nath had said that the government was mulling a law to ensure 70 percent jobs to the locals in private sector. “We will bring a law to ensure 70% reservation for domiciles of MP in private jobs.”
On Tuesday, Kamal Nath, in a series of tweets, reminded Chouhan of the steps taken by him on this issue. “In my 15 month tenure, I made provisions to ensure priority in jobs to youth of the state,” he said. “At least now you have woken up on the job crisis after 15 years. You have imitated our decision to reserve jobs for people of the state. It should not remain just an announcement on paper,” Nath said.
