God does everything on time; He will be never too late, so trust in Him. We are living in a supersonic, yet superstitious world and anticipate instant remedies. In that our trust and dependence on God and His divine interventions get last priority.

We try to lean on our understanding, wisdom and resources. But willfully we forget the painful journey through the ‘Valley of Death’ and the hindrances we encountered for our survival.

Today we have become self-sufficient and self-centred. And everything is available on our finger-tips. Earlier, when we were in trouble, we used to pray and fasting, but today the significance of fasting and prayer has become old fashioned.

In spite of all the technological advancement, people undergo rapidly increasing miseries, health crisis and lack peace of mind. But, if we trust, we have a blessed assurance and eternal hope to cherish with.

Because God, in whom we believe, said “I will never leave you nor forsake you. My presence shall go with you. Do not fear for I am your God, I will help you. The Lord who created you says: Fear not, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name. You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned. You are precious for Me.” Isa. 43:1-5

Water turns into wine

Jesus manifested His glory at Cana of Galilee where He turned water into wine, during a wedding feast. As the marriage celebration was on, and they ran out of wine.

In order to save the family from shame, Jesus asked the servants to fill the water-pots with water. And Jesus said to them “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of feast.”

When tasted, the master of the feast marvelled at this supernatural act, as it was the best he ever served. Thus Jesus saved the integrity and reputation of the great family on time. (John 2:1-11).

God fills Daniel with wisdom

Prophet Daniel was a Judean, who was taken to Babylon along with his three companions by King Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel was an expert in all the wisdom of Chaldeans and God bestowed upon him the visions and of interpreting dreams. He was truly devoted to his ancestral faith in the living God.

Because of his excellence over other governors, King Darius appointed Daniel as the chief administrator of his kingdom.

But Daniel’s Babylonian colleagues were jealous about him and consulted other governors, administrators, counsellors and advisors and planned contrivance against Daniel. Still, they couldn’t uncover valid corruption charges against him, except his commitment towards the law of his God.

So they consulted together and thronged before the King to present their well-thought-out strategy, through framing a decree. The decree says that “whoever petitions any god for thirty days except King Darius, shall be cast into the den of lions.”

Even though Daniel knew about the king’s decree, he knelt down before the Lord and prayed three times that day. Knowing this, his colleagues assembled before the King again to complain this as an act of breach of trust.

When Darius heard their words, he was greatly distressed. Though he wanted to deliver Daniel from this disastrous trouble, but compelled with the unchanging nature of the signed decree, he commanded to cast Daniel into the lions’ den.

God saves Daniel from lions’ mouth

But God sent His angel and shut the mouths of the lions and saved Daniel from any hurt. The king was exceedingly glad to see Daniel safe and unhurt, in the next morning.

Then King Darius wrote a decree to all people, nations and languages that dwell in all the earth. “That in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For, He is the Living God and steadfast forever. He delivers and rescues, as He delivered Daniel from the mouth of the lions.”

At times, we may have the access with Mother Mary, Jesus and His disciples; may be very near to us. Still there might be shortages, problems and miseries. But when we consciously call upon Jesus, He will manifest His glory on time. God will not allow you to be dismayed; He will do a miracle for you at the right time.

When kings, administrators, counsellors and colleagues try to find fault with your committed, innocent life, don’t get frustrated. Circumstances may try to cast you into the den of lions, but don’t get panic. Your living God will command the lions to shut up their mouths and not to harm you, on time. Remember, God will lift you up on time. It will be never too late.
