Oberoi and Lemon Tree groups will open units in Bhopal 26-09-2012
BHOPAL: The Oberoi
group of hotels and the Lemon Tree hotels have expressed their wish to open
their units in the state capital.
With a view to
attract investment in Madhya Pradesh, urban administration and development minister
Babulal Gaur and tourism minister Tukojirao Puar on Tuesday held a joint discussion
with hotel and urban development sector investors in New Delhi.
The ministers
invited investors to invest in the state and set up their units. The programme
was part of the campaign launched for making the proposed global investors summit,
scheduled to be held at Indore from October 28 to 30, a success.
In the meeting,
investment potential of the state was projected through a presentation made by
Phillips group.
Jaideep Dang of
Oberoi group of hotels and the national director of Lemon Tree Hotels, Vikramjit
Singh expressed their wish to open their units at Bhopal.
Puar invited the
representatives of Oberoi and Lemon Tree hotels to Bhopal and assured that the state
government would extend every possible help to them in opening hotels.
Gaur also held
discussions with representatives of CREDAI for investment in urban areas of
Madhya Pradesh and invited them to the state.
UAD principal
secretary SPS Parihar and Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation managing
director Raghavendra Singh were also present on the occasion.
