TN flood: Over 50 trains cancelled; PM announces Rs 1,000 cr relief
Delhi: Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu on Thursday said over 50 trains
have been cancelled and around 200 trains were affected over a period of time
due to the devastating floods in Tamil Nadu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who conducted an aerial survey of the
flood-affected areas today, announced central assistance of Rs 1,000 crore for
rain-hit Chennai. He also met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
