“It is not right in God’s sight to obey men rather than God.”

BJP, RSS playing politics on Ram temple issue: Nitish

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of playing politics on the Ram temple issue.

Nitish also taunted RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's recent assertion on construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

"The BJP and RSS have one slogan "Ram Lala hum aayenge mandir wahin banayenge, tarikh nahi batayenge". They want to keep this issue alive not because they have devotion for Ram but to take political benefit out of this. The BJP has been playing politics in the name of Ram," Nitish told media persons here.

"The BJP leaders talk about Ram temple but don't remember the dates of court hearing in this connection," he added.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had on Wednesday said he hopes that the proposed Ram temple will be built at Ayodhya in his lifetime.

"The temple will be built within my lifetime. May be, we will see it with our own eyes. None can say when and how the temple will be constructed, but we need to be prepared and ready," Bhagwat said in addressing a programme in Kolkata.

"We need to plan it carefully. A good mix of 'josh' (passion) and 'hosh' (sanity) is needed to complete the work which Ram and Sharad had initiated," he added.
