800 Indonesians joined IS, says official
Jakarta: A total 800 Indonesian
citizens have reportedly joined the Islamic State (IS) terror group, and 52 of
them have been reported dead, a senior official said on Monday.
Chief Minister Luhut Panjaitan said that of the 800 people, 284 have been
identified, Xinhua news agency reported.

Indonesia has been on
high alert recently for possible terror strikes following return of over 80
militants from Syria as well as the attack threats from Santoso, a terrorist
group based in Poso of Central Sulawesi province.

beefed all across the country, including in capital Jakarta.
