Swine flu claims 42 live in Chhattisgarh since January this year
Raipur: Swine flu so
far has claimed 42 lives in Chhattisgarh since January this year. The National
Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed H1N1 virus on swab sample of a
patient who died on October 18.
According to health
officials, reports received from NCDC on Wednesday confirmed the presence of
deadly H1N1 virus in the samples of a 60-year-old woman from Raipur.
Two new sample of
suspected swine flu patients were sent to NCDC on Wednesday. A total of 884
samples have been sent to NCDC till now and of these 213 have been confirmed
for H1N1 virus.
