Chhattisgarh industrialist abducted from Durg district
industrialist from Chhattisgarh capital was abducted from Kumhari in Durg
district from his car in the wee hours of Thursday.
Vivek Goel, hailing
from Ashwini Nagar in Raipur, was kidnapped by unidentified persons and an FIR
was lodged under Section 363 of the IPC at Kumhari police station while Raipur
and Durg police are investigating the case, Durg SP Mayank Shrivastava said.
Vivek had gone to
Kumhari to see a land for dealing and when he didn’t return home till late
night, his wife raised an alarm. Police said that Vivek’s wife had received a
call from kidnappers asking for ransom of Rs 10 lakh but hadn’t called since
then, after promising to call back.
Police sources said
that Vivek himself had called up Durg police control room to inform that he was
