On Saturday, acting on an intelligence input, a joint team of 123rd Battalion of Border Security Force and District Force arrested Jan Militia Commander Ajit Dugga from village Bulawand located five kilometres away from Temrupani.

Dugga, a resident of Ghumar under Siksod police station limits, was involved in major incidents, including attack on security personnel, loot, arson, explosion, kidnapping and others.

Police said that Dugga went underground six years back and before being promoted as Jan Militia Commander he was serving as Rowghat Area Committee member. He was involved in blasting of Bhainsasur school building in 2009. He was involved in attack on a BSF party in which two personnel had suffered grievous injuries in the year 2010 and an ambush on security personnel.
