Raman Singh reviews arrangements for PM’s Bastar trip

Jagdalpur: Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday chaired a meeting of Collectors, Superintendents of Police, Divisional and District-level Officers in Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar division.

In the meeting, Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for various programmes to be organized on May 9 in Dantewada district, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled tour. Raman Singh stated at the meeting that PM’s trip would be an important event for entire Bastar division.

Keeping in view the zeal of public on Prime Minister's arrival in Dantewada and their enthusiasm to take part in his programmes, Chief Minister has instructed the officials concerned to ensure proper arrangement of drinking water, first aid, traffic, parking and other necessary facilities at the venues.

In the meeting, Revenue Minister Prem Prakash Pandey and Scheduled Tribe and Schedueld Caste Development Minister  Kedar Kashyap were also present.

Chief Minister said that all the public representatives, panchayat representatives, members of forest management committees and self-help groups are being invited on behalf of Chief Secretary of the state.

Common people have been requested to leave for the venue on May 9 well before the scheduled time of programme, so that they may reach there before the commencement of programme.

People who are coming from far-off areas are expected to reach Dantewada a day before the scheduled date of programme. Keeping this in view, Chief Minister has instructed officials to make necessary arrangements in Dantewada for such visitors.

In the meeting, MLA Santosh Bafna and Mahesh Gagda, District  Panchayat President Jabita Mandawi, Additional Chief Secretary NK Aswal, Principal Secretary of Urban Administration Department RP Mandal, Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Singh, Secretary Home Department Ashok Juneja, Commissioner Bastar Division Dileep Vasnikar, Inspector General of Police  SRP Kalluri, Executive Director of NMDC, Chief Forest Conservator of Bastar and Kanker along with other officials were also present.
