60-year-old man found murdered at farm in Bhopal

BHOPAL: A 60-year-old man was found murdered at his agriculture farm on Wednesday morning. The motive of the murder is a mystery for the police force. According to police, on Monday, a man was found murdered in Char Imli and a man was shot dead in Hanumanganj area. A case was registered at Nazeerabad police station of the city.

The elderly man, Mangilal Gurjar, was a resident of village Bhamora and the body was found lying in pool of blood at 11am. There were injuries on forehead and leg. Police said the family returned home after work from fields and Mangilal slept there to keep watch on harvested crop on farm.

The police suspect involvement of a villager in the brutal killing. Though officials said nothing concrete could be said, sources said the incident could be an outcome of post-poll violence.

The elderly man and his sons allegedly had a dispute two days ago with a villager over panchayat elections. On March 15, two persons were murdered and 15 sustained injuries in post-poll violence at village Baandikhedi in Nazeerabad area.
