Sanction given to Aranmula airport will not be withdrawn: Chandy
NEW DELHI: Kerala Chief
Minister Oommen Chandy on Tuesday said that his government would not withdraw
the sanction given to the Aranmula airport project in Kerala.
He said that there was
not enough reason to withdraw the sanction. It is the KGS Group, the promoters
of the project that has to get the sanction from the Central Government to
implement the project, Chandy said here.
On the Vizhinjam
container project, Chandy said that Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin
Gadkari has assured that the Cabotage rules will be relaxed for the project.
The Chief Minister was talking to reporters after a meeting with Gadkari.
He said that he would hold
discussions with three companies in Mumbai on March 9 regarding the
implementation of the project.
