Madhya Pradesh government introduces online life certificate scheme for pensioners
02-12-2014

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh government has decided to introduce online life certificates based on Aadhar-based bio-metric authentication, by implementing amendments made by Central government in pension payment scheme in the state.

Directives in this regard have been issued to all heads of departments, divisional commissioners and district collectors. Now the pensioners need not to appear in person to give proof of being alive.

For bio-metric identification and digital life certificate, pensioners and family pensioners may download application linked to website www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in on android, tab, smart phone or windows computer. By acquiring fingerprint scanner/IRIS scanner and attaching the same with android, tab, smart phone or windows computer, they may upload bio-metric authentication after registering their Aadhar Number/bank account number and mobile phone number.

Through “locate centre” on the website, pensioners may get their bio-metric authentication through nearest common service centre or banks with scanners. After successful completion of release of digital life certificate, pensioners will receive transaction ID on their mobile phones through SMS.

If a pensioner is already registered then their record in concerning bank will be automatically updated from November next year after digital life certificate bio-metric authentication.

The new arrangement will be in addition to the existing arrangements. Information about new arrangements may be obtained from www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in. Besides, assistant programmer, pension, provident fund and insurance Indramani Tiwari may also be contacted on mobile phone number 9425841355 in this regard.

The pensioners, who have not produced life certificates till date (November 2014) may get benefit of the new arrangement.
