Urban body polls: 767 candidates in fray for Mayor of 10 municipal corporations

BHOPAL: In all, 67 candidates are in the fray for election of Mayor of 10 municipal corporations including 7 for Katni municipal corporation, 3 Khandwa, 13 Gwalior, 6 Dewas, 4 Burhanpur, 2 Ratlam, 10 Rewa, 12 Satna, 6 Sagar and 4 candidates for election for Mayor of Singrauli municipal corporation.

Those in the fray for the post of Mayor of Katni municipal corporation include Vinod Kumar Badgaiyya independent, Sandeep Nayak Janata Dal United, Avnish Tiwari Bahujan Samaj Party, Ran Bahadur Singh independent, Shashank Shrivastava Bharatiya Janata Party, Mohammad Shakeel Samajwadi Party and Roop Chand Chelani Indian National Congress.

Khandwa municipal corporation: Shaikh Zakir independent, Ajay Indian National Congress, Subhash Kothari Bharatiya Janata Party.
