Madhya Pradesh cabinet endorses compassionate appointment in power companies
BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh cabinet here on Tuesday
endorsed amendments in compassionate appointment policy-2013 for power
companies in the state. Accordingly, such cases have also been included in the
policy where dependents are getting compassionate financial assistance after
accidental death of employees before the effective date of compassionate
appointment policy-2013 April 10, 2012 and after November 15, 2000.
As per the amendment, dependents of employees who died
before April 10, 2012 will also be entitled for compassionate appointment.
The cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh
Chouhan gave revised sanction of Rs 346.75 crore for construction of Mantralaya
Vallabh Bhavan annexe. The sanction has been accorded on the recommendation of
project examination committee of Urban Administration & Environment
Department. Construction of annexe will remove shortage of space being felt in
Vallabh Bhavan. Cabinet chamber will also be upgraded as per standard norms.
The cabinet sanctioned creation of 208 posts in
various departments including 62 posts for Vidhan Sabha Secretariat. The
cabinet sanctioned 83 posts for Directorate of Local Fund Audit including one
post of Additional Director, 7 of Joint Director, 12 of Assistant Director and
63 posts of Assistant Auditors.
The cabinet also decided to create 34 posts in
Directorate of Integrated Child Development Service and 9 additional posts in
Directorate of Women’s Empowerment. It decided to create 14 new posts to
strengthen Directorate of Medical Education.
The cabinet decided to give one-time relaxation in ban
on direct recruitment for filling up 470 posts in teachers training institutes
of Rajya Shiksha Kendra. In all, 226 vacancies of lecturer, 106 of senior
lecturer, 120 of assistant professors and 18 posts of professors will be filled
by through Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission.
The cabinet decided to declare Farmers Welfare and
Agriculture Development Department as State Agricultural Statistics Authority
for handing over work of collecting data regarding agriculture.
Presently, this work is done by Commissioner Land
Records & Settlements. The works include sending agricultural statistics,
information about area under main crops and assessment of yield,
rationalisation of irrigation statistics and improvement in statistics of main
The cabinet decided to extend for further 3 months the
scheme for merger of staff of Oilseed Federation into various government
departments. Now, the scheme will continue till November 11, 2014.
