Dalit woman dragged out of house, gang-raped in Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL: A dalit woman, 23, was dragged out of her
farmhouse and gang raped by five people in Gunga village on the outskirts of
the state capital on Friday night. The rape survivor, who works as labourer, was
sleeping with her two children in the farmhouse, when the accused gagged and
dragged her to the fields.
A case was registered at Gunga police station on
Saturday. Police said three of the five accused have been taken into custody
while two others are on the run.

husband at a farmhouse in Dhamarra where her husband operates a tractor in the
At the time of the incident, she was asleep with her
two daughters while her husband had gone to a nearby village. The accused were
identified as Jagdish, Mushtaq, Bablu, Sonu and Manoj all aged between 19 to 25
years and residents of Dhamarra village.
Accused fled when they realised that her husband was
returning on the tractor. Before leaving, they threatened the woman of dire
consequences if she revealed about the incident to anyone, but she told her
husband about it.
Next day the couple went to police station and got a
case registered against the accused. Police said those arrested include
Jagdish, Sonu and Manoj while a hunt has been launched to nab the remaining
