Wildlife invaluable heritage of nature, says chief minister Chouhan
BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said
that wildlife is invaluable heritage of nature without which life is not
possible on Earth. Chouhan has extended best wishes to Forest Department
officers and employees on Wildlife Week to be observed from October 1 to 7.
Chouhan said that human race has evolved on the Earth
only 2-lakh years ago whereas insects and other living beings have been engaged
in making it livable for crores of years. Our lush green state is replete with
this invaluable heritage. He said that it is duty of everyone including
officers and employees associated with wildlife conservation to ensure safety
of wildlife habitats.
Chouhan said that apart from National Parks, other
forest areas are also turning out to be useful for wildlife conservation and
management. He said that forest dwellers and residents of forest villages can
effectively implement wildlife protection schemes since they have deep
attachment with wildlife.
The Chief Minister said that efficient management of
forest and wildlife in Madhya Pradesh is being praised throughout the country.
