Four industrial projects costing Rs 331.86 crore sanctioned in Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL: Four industrial projects costing Rs 331.86
crore were sanctioned in Madhya Pradesh at a meeting of Cabinet Committee on
Investment Promotion chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on
Monday. About 5,000 persons will get employment in these projects. The meeting
also endorsed the list of items produced by industries that will be eligible
for special assistance in thrust sector.
Chouhan directed officers to develop mindset of
bringing industries to the state. No delay should be made in extending
facilities to investors as per policy. Investment promotion policy has been
implemented in the state. All concerning departments should come forward to
work with activeness and alertness. State government wishes to make available
investment-friendly atmosphere to industries.
The meeting sanctioned proposal of Ultratech Cement
Limited to establish wall care Putti plant at village Jharela in Katni
district. The plant will be established at a permanent capital investment of
about Rs 78 crore and will produce about 40 thousand tonne putti per annum.
This largest cement company’s another unit is
functioning at Khor in Neemuch district. The company has proposed to set up 3
plants at Ram Nagar and Nagaud in Satna district and in Dhar district. The
committee decided to provide industrial promotion benefit at the rate of 75
percent for 10 years subject to conditions as per industrial promotion policy
and action plan. Exemption from entry tax will be given for next 5 years. It
may be mentioned that Aditya Birla Group has proposed to invest Rs 20,000 crore
in Madhya Pradesh.
The Industrial Promotion Committee decided to exempt
from entry tax investment in HEG’s 27 MW captive power plant in its graphite
electrodes manufacturing unit at Mandideep. Rs. 98 crore 53 has been invested
on the plant.
The Industrial Promotion Committee cleared proposal
for establishment of an integrated textile park at village Mahu Kalan in Budni tehsil
by Messrs Rainbow Integrated Textile Park Limited. The park under Integrated
Textile Park Scheme of Union Ministry of Textiles will be established on 63.41
acres of land. The entire project will cost Rs. 136 crore 33 lakh and give
employment to 3840 persons. Large number of indirect employment will also be
generated. Compared to traditional crops, farmers will get handsome profit
through production of quality cotton.
The committee sanctioned a wheat-based food processing
unit at Food Park, Ghirongi (Malanpur) to be established by Messrs B.P. Food
Products Pvt. Limited costing about Rs. 19 crore. It will annually produce 41
thousand 472 tonne maida and 52 thousand 531 tonne flour. The unit will provide
jobs to 84 persons while local farmers will get proper price for their produce.
Exemption from VAT will be given to unit’s products
under terms and conditions of investment promotion policy. Exemption from entry
tax on raw material will be given for 5 years. The unit will also get benefit
of electricity and Madhya Pradesh Agri-Business & Food Processing Policy
The meeting finalised the list of items produced by
industries that will be eligible for special assistance under thrust sector.
These include textile industry, herbal industry, agriculture, urban and
industrial solid waste management, bio-tech industry & bio-technology and
automobile industry. These products will be given special benefits under
industrial promotion policy.
