Youth murders man for illicit relations with mother

BHOPAL: A 22-year-old murdered a youth three years elder to him for allegedly having illicit relations with his mother.

The accused, Anees Khan, 22, harboured enmity against murdered youth Rajesh Vishwakarma, 25, who had developed illicit relations with Khan’s mother and had started living with her along with three children, including the accused, eldest of the three siblings.

Khan was against her mother’s relationship with Rajesh and would often have heated arguments with his mother and Rajesh over the issue. He was forcing her mother to live separately, if she wanted to live with Rajesh.

On Saturday night, Khan, who worked with a transport company had a row with Rajesh over the same issue following which he attacked Rajesh with a sharp-edged weapon. Rajesh sustained grievous injuries and died on way to hospital. The accused, Khan, had fled after committing crime, but was later arrested, police added.

The case was later registered at Aishbagh police station.

When Ashwin tried to chase them, they threatened him on which he called for help from neighbours. As soon as neighbours woke up and rushed out the two accused, who were on guard outside alerted their accomplices and fled.

Police was later informed and senior officials and team of FSL and dog squad visited the spot.

Ashwin Raut said accused picked cash from his daughter's piggybank and wife's purse besides taking away a mobile phone and few pounds (foreign currency). Couple told they feared for safety of their kids when accused were around.

Neighbours and security guard of duty saw five accused fleeing the house. They had covered themselves with blankets, they said. One person was later caught on suspicion from the campus, but it was not ascertained whether he was among the accused or not.

The police have registered a case under section 458 of IPC (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night after preparation for hurt, assault, or wrongful restraint).
