Bank account of one woman of every family will be opened in Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL: Bank account of one woman of every family will
be opened compulsorily under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana. Through
door-to-door contacts, bank employees will ensure that every family has a bank
account, said Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Sushma Swaraj at a programme
at village Sudania in Budhni Vidhan Sabha constituency.
She said that women would be empowered through this
scheme and socially deprived sections would be brought to the mainstream of
development. Swaraj announced Rs 10 lakh from MP’s Fund for development works
in the village.
Revenue & Rehabilitation Minister and in-charge of
Sehore district Rampal Singh said that the state government has implemented a
number of public welfare schemes under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj
Minister for Foreign Affairs Swaraj laid foundation
stones of 18 development works costing Rs. 3.05 crore and inaugurated 4 works
completed at a cost of Rs 46.80 lakh. At Kachnariya village, Swaraj inaugurated
various works costing about Rs 2.05 crore. He distributed cheques of about Rs 3
lakh to 16 beneficiaries.

Panchayat Chairman Dharmendra Singh Chouhan, MLAs Vijay Pal Singh, Rajendra
Singh Rajput, Guruprasad Sharma, Ramkishan Chouhan, Ramesh Saxena, Raghnath
Singh Bhati and Ravi Malviya with other public representatives and large number
of common people were present on the occasion.
