Raman Singh dedicates his first official website
RAIPUR: Chief Minister Raman Singh said that changing
techniques of changing period should be used in this modern era for
information, communication and verbalism. Using new mediums of social media
like, website, blog, youtube, facebook, twitter and whatsapp, government could
take its schemes to maximum number of people.
The chief minister dedicated his first official
website www.cmo.cg.gov.in in the state capital on Sunday afternoon. On the
occasion, he issued his first twitter message for the people. In his tweet, he
complemented all citizens of the state and said that he was well pleased with
the dedication of the website of the chief minister’s office.
Singh declared in the function that for the smooth
conduct of state government works, the chief minister, his office and chief
secretary, director general of police, secretary level officers of all
departments and all district collectors and superintendents of police would
prepare three different whatsapp groups and link them together soon, so that
immediate reciprocation of information could easily be done among them.
A one-day workshop on “Utilisation of social media in
the effective implementation of government schemes” has been organised, in
which chief minister Raman Singh was the chief guest. Along with senior
officers of different departments of the state government, such employees, who
are operating computer and internet in their respective offices, have also
participated in the workshop. The workshop has jointly been organised by Public
Relations department and Chhattisgarh Infotech and Biotech Promotion Society
Addressing the dedication function and workshop, the
chief minister said that there was a time when print media was the only medium
for verbalism and information. In this era of information and technology,
electronic and social media have been included.
He said that the significance of traditional media
would never end, but different implements of social media have been proved much
useful for people and it was no less than any miracle.
The chief minister said that the website of his office
would be useful for all citizens of the state. Social media would be used for better
conversation between the state government and public and for better
coordination with government departments.
The chief minister said that he wanted to direct
information through social media to people’s representatives from Prime
Minister Narendra Modi, MPs, MLAs, members of Janpad and district Panchayats
and up to panchs of village panchayats. The whole country would be linked with
While praising the organisation of the workshop, the
chief minister congratulated the Public Relations department and Chhattisgarh
Infotech and Biotech Promotion Society (CHIPS). He hoped that the contents of
the workshop would be useful for all.
Raman Singh said that
the important implement of social media ‘whatsapp’ would be used for the smooth
conduct of works of different departments of the state government and for
continuous conversation and coordination of government and administration at
secretariat and district level.
