Chhattisgarh government gives free Haj App facility to pilgrims
RAIPUR: This year, Chhattisgarh government has given
free IT-based Haj-App facility to Haj pilgrims of the state, so that they may
keep contact and find location of each other during the journey.
According to State Haj Committee president Salim Raj,
this Haj App would be operated on Android mobile phone. On the special
initiative of chief minister Raman Singh, the state government has developed
this mobile application for the Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee. It has been
given free of cost to the Haj pilgrims, he added.
The state government has also been providing mobile
phone hand set to the Haj pilgrims, which they would return to the Haj
committee on returning from the pilgrimage, so that it would be used by
pilgrims in the succeeding years.
The State Haj Committee has organised a training
programme for Haj pilgrims at the Naveen Vishram Grih Raipur on Sunday, in
which they have been given information about the method of using this mobile
Salim Raj said, for the first time in the country and
the world, Chhattisgarh government has provided this IT based modern technology
for the Haj pilgrims of the state. At the concluding function of the training
programme, Salim Raj said that this year 332 pilgrims from Chhattisgarh would
go for Haj.
Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee secretary Sajid
Meman, trainers Salim Ashraf and Sajid Amjad and large number of Haj pilgrims
were present on the occasion.
