Chhattisgarh to observe September as Child Protection Month
RAIPUR: September 2014 will be observed as Child
Protection Month in Chhattisgarh. Health and Family Welfare Minister Amar
Agrawal, in the departmental review meeting organised here on Wednesday, asked
the officers to make preparations for the Child Protection Month.
The minister said that in the child protection month
beginning from September 2, to save children from different diseases,
vaccination would be administered to them on each Tuesday and Friday at all
government district hospitals, community and primary health centres and sub
health centres. Along with children, programme would be conducted for the
health protection of their mothers also, he added.
The health minister said that provision has been made
in the Sanjeevni Kosh Yojana to provide financial assistance to the patients
suffering from 30 serious diseases. To provide benefit of the scheme to such
patients, special camps would be organised at about 200 localities of the state
after September 15.
Agrawal stressed on the need for making online the
facilities to the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Baal Hriday Suraksha Yojana,
Mukhyamantri Baal Shravan Yojana and Sanjeevni Kosh Yojana. He said that
Mukhyamantri Baal Hriday Suraksha, free treatment is being provided to the
heart patient children up to 15 years of age, who is domicile of Chhattsigarh,
at six registered hospitals of the state. Under the scheme, free treatment and
operation of 4,500 children have been done so far.
The minister instructed the officers to make
preparation for imparting training on speech therapy to doctors under the
Mukhyamantri Baal Shravan Yojana.
