Madhya Pradesh, Emirates Airlines sign MoU for tourism promotion
BHOPAL: On the first day of his 3-day Dubai visit,
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday had exclusive meeting with
Divisional Senior Vice-President of Emirates Group Adnan Kazim. Later, Chouhan
also met Dubai Civil Aviation Authority’s President Shaikh Ahmad Bin Syed Al
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in
Dubai between Madhya Pradesh and Emirates Airline. According to the MoU,
Emirates will extend cooperation in tourism promotion in Madhya Pradesh. After
Heathrow airport of London (England), maximum number of passengers arrives at
Emirates has arrangements to extend facilities to
these passengers. Therefore, Emirates can be very helpful in promoting tourism
in Madhya Pradesh. Emirates Airline will carry in its in-flights advertisements
of upcoming Global Investors Summit to be held in Madhya Pradesh this year.
Emirates Foundation will also partner in skill development training institutes
in Madhya Pradesh.
Urban Administration & Development Minister
Kailash Vijayvargiya, Higher & Technical Education Minister Umashankar
Gupta and Industries Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia were also present on the
Emirates Airline is serving 142 cities of 80
countries. Emirate Group functions in 6 continents with 75 thousand employees
from about 160 countries. One aeroplane takes off or lands every 70 second at
Dubai International Airport.
Later, a presentation was given before the Chief Minister
and the delegation accompanying him at Dubai World Trade Centre. Emirates’
officers took the Chief Minister and all guests round their headquarters.
