‘Police personnel should have controlled behaviour towards children’
RAIPUR: Police personnel should have controlled
behaviour towards children. Innocent children should not be ill-treated. In
such cases, the commission will take action after cognizance, said Shatabdi
Pandey, chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Child Rights Protection Commission.
In a one-day workshop on “How police personnel should
behave with children”, organised at local police control room on Saturday,
Pandey informed traffic police personnel of the state capital of different
aspects of child psychology.
Addressing the workshop, Shatabdi Pandey said that due
to different reasons anger develops in children at the young age and because of
that they got agitated. But the police personal should behave with them by
understanding their rights and child psychology. They should not behave with them
In the workshop, member of the commission Sharad
Shrivastava made a presentation on “child rights and expectation from police
personnel”. Giving information about the rules related to child rights, he said
that police personnel should understand the differences in the issues of
violation of rules by hardcore criminals and children.
