Residents happy with all-round development of Chhattisgarh village
RAIPUR: Residents of Bija village under Takhatpur block
are happy with the all-round development of the village. The villagers give its
full credit to the activeness and awareness of the village Sarpanch and the
full cooperation of villagers.
According to a villager, Chaitram Khande, works worth
crores of rupees have been done in the village. Villagers get jobs in
beneficiary oriented schemes and Rojgar Guarantee Yojana. Along with different
construction works, deepening of ponds has been done for Nistar of villagers,
overhead tank constructed for supply of drinking water. Roads have been
constructed in the village.
Talking about the development of the village, Bija
village panchayat sarpanch Ramkumar Tandon said that many works, including 4 CC
roads, deepening of Kapri pond and construction of Pachri have been done in his
village during the last five years.
Similarly, under the Rojgar Guarantee scheme, six
roads have been constructed with a cost of Rs 50 lakh. Overhead water tank
costing Rs 19 lakh, boundary wall of middle school costing Rs 5 lakh were constructed
under the Nal-Jal scheme. Four anganbadi centre buildings have been constructed
in the village.
Additional rooms were constructed in the primary girls
and boys school with the fund from Sarvashiksha campaign and construction of
market shed with a cost of Rs 16 lakh is in progress. 200 toilets were
constructed in the village under the Rojgar Guarantee Scheme and Swachhata
campaign. Cultural platform has been constructed in Bija high school with a
cost of Rs 50,000 from basic scheme and three toilets with a cost of Rs 50,000
each at primary boys, primary girls and middle schools in Bija village
