Industrialists see immense industrial development potential in Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL: Captains of Indian industry see immense
potential for industrial development in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj
Singh Chouhan with his visionary approach has the willpower to make Madhya
Pradesh a developed state. The top industrialists of India expressed these
views during a get-together held at CII, Mumbai Friday night.
Chouhan said that apart from maintaining double-digit
growth rate for last 7-8 years, Madhya Pradesh’s 11 percent growth rate is the
highest in the country. State’s 24.99 percent agriculture growth rate has
created record not only in the country, but entire world also.
Extending an open invitation to the industry, the
Chief Minister said that apart from surplus power, human resources and law
& order, he himself is there to help out investors. Industrialists
investing in Madhya Pradesh will not get disappointed, he added.
Chouhan said that he desires to see crops swaying in
Chambal ravines and implement the best system not only in the country, but
world also. He said that positive atmosphere is prevailing in the country these
days. Some months ago, India looked depressed and dismayed, but is enthusiastic
and hopeful now. Good days have started to dawn in the country.
Industries Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that
Madhya Pradesh offers all facilities for good and safe investment including
better law & order situation, peaceful industrial atmosphere, massive land bank,
skilled manpower, fast growth rate, good governance and able leadership that
gives fillip to development. Referring to state’s far-sighted policies, she
said that Madhya Pradesh is the best choice for investment.
Chief Secretary Anthony de Sa gave a presentation on
state’s development. He informed about resources and facilities extended to
investors in the state. Principal Secretary Industries Mohammad Sulaiman
welcomed the guests and threw light on the concept of Global Investors Summit.
CII’s Chairman Adi Godrej said that Madhya Pradesh’s
growth was so charismatic that it might be entered into Guinness Book of World
Records. Infrastructural works underway in the state at a rapid pace are proof
Essel World’s Chairman Subhash Chandra said that
Madhya Pradesh government has live contact with investors. They are clearly
told what to do and what not. Dhoot of Videocon said that all aspects of life
in the state have witnessed progress during the last decade.
Industrialist Sudhansu Deva said that investors are
cordially welcomed in the state. Satish Seth of Reliance said that state’s
leadership has the willpower and desire for development. Positive industrial
atmosphere prevails in Madhya Pradesh, he added.
