Two Keralites among five killed in Taliban attack in Kabul
KABUL: Two Keralites were among five foreign guards
killed in a Taliban suicide attack in Kabul Tuesday. Ponnappan, from Kallara in
Kottayam district, and Raveendran from Kollam met with the tragic end.
Both the victims were employed as security guards with
American company DynCorp, official sources said. Arrangements were being made
for the transportation of their bodies.
A Taliban suicide attacker riding a motorbike killed
the five. The attacker struck at a compound near the outer perimeter of Kabul
airport. The Taliban used a recognised Twitter account to claim responsibility
for the attack.
