General category poor family students will also get scholarships: Chouhan

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that students of general category poor families would also be given scholarships now. The State government will allow no hurdle in children’s education. Every necessary facility would be provided to help them brighten their future, he added.

In the Hind Rakshak organisation’s Punyodaya Prakalp programme held in Indore on Friday to commemorate former Education Minister late Laxman Singh Gaud, the Chief Minister distributed free books to school children on behalf of Hind Rakshak organisation.

Transport Minister Bhupendra Singh, Mayor Krishna Murari Moghe, Indore Development Authority Chairman Shankar Lalwani, former Union Minister Vikram Verma, MLAs Malini Gaud, Ramesh Mendola, Sudarshan Gupta, Mahendra Hardia and Rajendra Verma, former MLAs Jitu Jirati, Madhu Verma and Satyanarayan Sattan were present on the occasion.

Chouhan lauded Hind Rakshak organisation’s Punyodaya Project. He said that this would be a great help in studies of needy children. Remembering late Laxman Singh Gaud, he said that he was one of the best Education Ministers of the state. Education world was given a new direction during his tenure.

He said that state government was committed to brighten future of every single child. There is no lack of talent in children. They can reach their destinations easily if given opportunities. The Chief Minister gave detailed information about state government’s schemes for school children and exhorted them to avail their benefit.
