MP conferred with eco tourism destination award 09-08-2012
BHOPAL: Madhya
Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation was conferred with the best eco tourism
destination award at the 15th annual award function of flagship
magazine ‘Today’s’ Traveller’, held at New Delhi on Wednesday.
The function was
held under the auspices of Gill India Communications Pvt Ltd. Union tourism
minister Subodhkant Sahay gave away the Today\'s Traveller Award-2012 to the
Corporation.
Chairman of MP
Tourism Development Corporation Mohan Yadav and director Ramesh Sippi jointly
collected the award on behalf of the Corporation.
A
tourism-related coffee table book ‘Todays Traveller’ was also released on the
occasion.
Addressing the
gathering Union minister Subodhkant Sahay said that the tourism sector was not
limited to make developments of tourist spots and to increase the better
facilities to tourists, but attempts are being made to provide better job
opportunities to youths of the country in this sector.
He said this
year MP Tourism Development Corporation has been awarded with four national
tourism awards by the former president Pratibha Singh Patil for excellence in
the field of tourism.

Vivek Mathur, tour operators and travel agents were also present on the
