19-05-2014

RAIPUR: Illegal appointments made in the Civil Supplies Corporation eight months ago will be cancelled. Action will be taken against the officers and employees responsible after probe and thereafter report will be sent to the government. It was decided in the recently held BoD meeting.

Illegal appointment of regular and contract employees, including 35 data entry operators and 49 junior technical assistants, has been made in the state Civil Supplies Corporation (CSC) in July-August 2013. Among the 49 junior technical assistants, 14 are regular. After appointment, all of them were sent to different districts, including Raipur. Angry with this illegal appointment, food secretary Vikassheel and director Umesh Agrawal have sought information from the corporation.

It has been said that in the recently held BoD meeting, the directors have taken umbrage at the illegal appointment and decided to cancel all the appointments immediately. A committee would be formed to probe into the issue and action would be taken against the officers and employees responsible. The managing director will send the action taken report to the government.

It has been said that on complaints at the government-administration level, some illegally appointed employees were removed from their service, but the remaining are still at work. It has been complained that this illegal appointment has been done at the behest of a senior officer of the corporation.

On the other, with the decision of the board of directors, officers and employees in the corporation are disturbed and trying to save each other. Efforts are on to save the services of the illegally appointed employees also.

Secretary Vikassheel said that the managing director of the corporation has been ordered to remove all the illegally appointed employees from their services and to take action against the officers and employees responsible for the illegal appointment.
