Illegal purchase of tribal land: Collector orders to register FIR against Patwari, DR 08-05-2014
RAIGARH
(Chhattisgarh): Collector and District Magistrate Mukesh Bansal on Wednesday
asked SDM Gharghoda to register FIR against the Patwari and the Deputy
Registrar concerned in a case of illegal purchase of 70-acre agriculture land of
scheduled tribe farmers at Barpali village in Tamnar tehsil of Raigarh
district.
The collector,
citing an under disposal case in his court, told the SDM that Sushil Lakda son
of Alphons Lakda, resident of village Banki in Sundargarh district of Odisha
state, has purchased about 70-acre farmland of tribal farmers of Barpali
village in Raigarh district.
Referring
sections 341 and 342 of the Constitution, the collector said that scheduled
tribe people from other states could not be given the benefits that are given
to the same category in Chhattisgarh. Hence, the farmland purchased by Sushil
Lakda from the tribal farmers comes under ‘Benami’ transfer and this deal has
been done in collusion with the Patwari and the Deputy Registrar concerned.
The collector,
considering the deputy registrar and the patwari guilty of the deal, has
ordered to register FIR against both of them. The collector expressed
displeasure over the non-compliance of instructions issued in this regard to
the SDM earlier. |
