BJP digs up 17-year-old complaint against Satyanarayan Sharma
BJP has dug up a 17-year-old complaint of corruption in the diamond and
Alexandrite mining in Devbhog area against the Congress candidate Satyanarayan
Sharma. The party said that after forming government at the Centre, probe would
be initiated into the complaint of corruption against Sharma.
spokesperson Sanjay Shrivastava has revealed this in a press conference held
here on Saturday. He said that many people had complained with the PMO against
Sharma of corruption in the allotment of diamond and Alexandrite mines in
Devbhog area while he was mining minister in the undivided Madhya Pradesh
secretary of the then prime minister IK Gujral, NN Vohra had written a letter
in this regard to the then chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh and
had sought action on the complaint.
spokesperson said that a complaint of a scam, involving Rs 500 crore worth
diamond and alexandrite from the diamond mines had been made. No action had
been made on this complaint. After forming BJP government at the Centre, a
probe into this complaint would be initiated. He said that this complaint has
come into his notice recently, hence this issues was highlighted now.

question, the BJP spokesperson said that there were no complaints against the
BJP candidate Ramesh Bais. Hence, the Congress has been trying to spreading
confusion by accusing him of inactive. From Delhi to Bhopal and Raipur,
