People have made up their mind to bid adieu to Congress: Raman Singh
11-04-2014

RAIPUR: While addressing public meetings organised in Kanker and Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha constituencies on Thursday, chief minister Dr Raman Singh has appealed to the people to make the BJP victorious with huge margin in the Lo Sabha election for good governance and development of the country.

In the five public meetings held at Dhanora, Geetpahar, Mangchua, Chilhati and Mohara, the chief minister has targeted the Congress led UPA government at the Centre and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh over inflation. He said that the Congress in the whole country, including Chhattisgarh, has made false promises with the people and deceived them. Promising to bring down inflation in 100 days, the Congress has been in power at the Centre for 10 years, but the Manmohan government through his wrong economic policies has been adding fuel to the fire of inflation. Now the people would not tolerate it and have made up their mind to bid adieu to the Congress forever from the Central government, he said.

He said that it has been proved during the 10-year reign of the BJP in the state that BJP is the only party that thinks of bringing prosperity in the life of people of the last line of the society, along with village, the poor and the farmers and makes schemes and implement them also. The BJP government in Chhattisgarh is working for the development of all categories of people, he added. He appealed to the people to vote in favour of BJP candidate Vikram Usendi.

Raman Singh said that the BJP led by Narendra Modi would form government at the Centre. He said that for the development of tribal dominated areas like Bastar and Sarguja special authority has been formed. Special facilities are being given for the education of tribal children.

The chief minister said that the BJP government of Chhattisgarh, by making the first Food Security and Nutrition Act of the country, has given the right to food with the guarantee of cheap food grain to the 65 lakh poor families of the state.
