Budget hotel costing Rs 7 crore will be constructed at Ujjain
BHOPAL: In view
of Simhastha-2016, a budget hotel costing Rs 7 crore will be constructed at
Ujjain. The hotel will be constructed on 40,000 square feet area in front of
Hotel Kshipra. School education minister Paras Jain, who was the chief guest of
the function, laid the foundation of the hotel in the presence of minister of state for tourism
Surendra Patwa on Tuesday.
The budget hotel
will comprise guest rooms for pilgrims and tourists, restaurant, conference
hall, banquet hall, basement parking, tourist information and welcome centre
and swimming pool.
Paras Jain said
that under the guidance of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, development
works for Simhastha-2016 have started four years earlier. All basic amenities would
be made available to tourists at concessional rates in the budget hotel, he
Minister of state
for tourism Patwa said that every possible effort would be made to ensure top
place for Madhya Pradesh in tourism sector in future. He informed that Rs 350
crore tourism development works are being undertaken in the state this year. Through
LCD, tourists will be informed about other important religious places in the
of MP Tourism Development Corporation and MLA Dr Mohan Yadav informed that four
mega circuits had been developed in the state to make available facilities to
tourists. Dr Yadav said that all basic amenities would be provided to devotees
during Simhastha. Mayor Rameshwar Akhand also spoke on the occasion.
It was informed
that Rs 40 crore development works would be undertaken at all major religious
places at Ujjain under Ujjain Mega Circuit. At present, construction of
day-shelter, drinking water facility and parking place is on. Rs 12 crore
development works are being undertaken at Pingleshwar, Bilkeshwar, Nalwa,
Karohan, Durdeshwar and other halting places to facilitate devotees.
