Mega cultural event: National Balrang Festival from January 15 to 17
mega cultural event National Balrang Festival will be held under the joint
aegis of Madhya Pradesh Government and Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav
Sangrahalay from January 15 to 17. Children will perform various activities on
the first day. All programmes will be held on the premises of Indira Gandhi
Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalay, Bhopal.
Festival is held annually to promote artistic talents of schoolchildren. Its
main objective is to introduce children with various cultures, traditional
lifestyles and cultural values and instill spirit of social harmony, human
values and brotherhood by bringing children from various states and regions on
state-level competitions will be held at the festival on the first day January
15 from 10 am. Patriotic song competition will be held at Marugaon Chhatri in
the museum while competitions of essay, self-composed poems, ghazal, recitation
of poems and folk songs will be held in the open air. Competitions for light
music, classical dances and folk dances will be held in Avriti Gallery.
dance-drama, quiz forum, Ved Path, speech and essay competitions will be held
at Naal Kett. At Arapura, ghazal, qawwali, essay, bahas-mubahasa and quiz forum
will be held for Madarsa children and competitions for disabled children will
be held at Dussehra Rath. Yoga competitions in asanas, pranayam and Surya
Namaskar will be held at mini open-air theatre. School Education Minister Paras
Jain will also be present on the occasion.
On the second
day January 16, Governor Ram Naresh Yadav will inaugurate children’s cultural
festival. The programme will be presided over by School Education Minister
Paras Jain. Tribal Welfare Minister Gyan Singh and Minister of State for School
Education Deepak Joshi will also be present.
prize distribution will be held on January 17 at 2 pm. National folk dance
competition will be held in the open-air on January 16 from 12 noon. Similarly,
exhibition “Bharatiya Sanskriti Ke Rang, Balrang Ke Sang” will be held from 10
am on January 16-17.
