Promote sustainable tourism in Madhya Pradesh: Parasuram
BHOPAL: Such activities should be
conducted in tourism sector, which do not harm natural surroundings and
environment. Madhya Pradesh government is also promoting eco tourism. This was
stated by chief secretary R Parasuram while inaugurating two-day convention ‘Bhopal
Sustainable Tourism 2013’ on Thursday.
The chief secretary said that while
promoting expansion of tourism activities, attention should also be paid to
comply with policies pertaining to existence of wildlife, nature and
environment. Parasuram said that Eco Tourism Board, Forest Department and
Tourism Department will coordinate to promote sustainable tourism in the state.
The State Government will extend maximum cooperation to them. He said that
detailed review of tourism sector’s infrastructure development will be
undertaken soon at the state-level.
Eco tourism experts from various
countries also participated in the convention. There will be total 6 sessions

Singh, Bhopal International Conference on Sustainable Tourism President KK
Singh also spoke on the occasion. Principal Secretary Urban Administration SPS
Parihar were also present on the occasion.
